The expression “a tired dog is a good dog” couldn’t be more accurate than when it’s applied to a Jack Russell Terrier. Both my husband and I work full time outside of the home, so we asked around to find out who our dog-loving neighbors trusted with their dogs and in their homes. Overwhelmingly, Woofies was the service of choice in the Broadlands, so I called and scheduled an appointment to meet them.

They impressed me from the start at the initial interview with the owner and the walker who would be handling our baby. They paid a lot of loving attention to him, accepting all of his puppy kisses and testing which commands he already knew. They asked thoughtful questions about his habits, likes and dislikes, our goal for the walks (exercise, going to the bathroom, leash training, etc.) They told me about themselves and why they do what they do, and made it clear that they were animal lovers and personable, savvy business women as well.

Even if you have hidden security cameras in your home, it’s difficult to trust a stranger to come into your home and take care of a beloved family member. But Woofies- which is a licensed and insured company- has a stellar reputation and many positive references, which made this choice an easier one. They write detailed notes each day about their walk with our pup. They refresh his water and give him love and treats before leaving each day. They are very reliable- my neighbor even commented on how she could tell what time it was by when she saw Woofies walking our dog! Best of all, our baby’s reaction to seeing his walker showed us how much he loved his time with her.

We’ve also used Woofies pet sitting services over a long weekend- he stayed with the family of one of the walkers. While somewhat expensive, the personal attention, exercise and socialization with another dog and family was worth every penny to me. Dependable, responsible, trustworthy, and oh so loving to their 4-legged clients…
